I am wondering if its possible call REST API from ConfD to reach an outside system ( which is not confd)?
Do you mean something like subagent /proxy (chapter 26 in ConfD user Guide)? I do not think it is possible with REST API directly. You can write ConfD daemon (data providers + subscribers) for it, that would use REST API of the device.
