Notifying confD about application existence

Hello all,

From the application perspective, how do I notify confD about my existence in the network?
When the application starts It has to notify confD of its existence so that the default data entry gets added to the CDB. How do I achieve this?

If I understand correctly you scenario, the application should connect to ConfD and add the data entry to the CDB (e.g. through MAAPI).
