Upgrading goes for a toss when mandatory leaf added to a container, any pointers?

Hi All!

When we add a new mandatory parameter to a container old config goes for a toss. Any help on how we can overcome the same ?..

I could think of one solution where we create a presence container and put the new variable, its fine but then we end up in doing the same logic for each and every parameter. Any other better option for the same…

Yes, you should use upgrade procedure that fills in the new mandatory parameter. See ConfD User Guide 5.11 and 5.12.
